A Summer & Autumn Full of Musical Theatre Magic!

With the excitement already building for Come From Away, Singin' in the Rain, and The Addams Family, we're making sure the fun doesn't stop there!

Whether you're looking to learn something new, brush up on your skills, meet fellow performers, or take to the stage in a completely different way, we've got something for everyone this summer and autumn. Join us for exciting tap classes and our one-of-a-kind MisCast Cabaret – we'd love you to be part of it!

MisCast Cabaret – Break the Rules. Sing Your Dream Song!

Ever wished you could perform a song from a role you'd never normally be cast in?

On 21 November, our MisCast Cabaret throws the casting rulebook out of the window and celebrates imagination, creativity and the sheer joy of musical theatre.

This is your chance to perform the songs you've always loved—regardless of age, gender, vocal type or traditional casting. Whether it's a leading lady singing a villain's anthem, a tenor belting out a diva classic, or finally performing that dream song you've always wanted to sing, this is your moment.

We'll be creating an entertaining evening full of surprises, featuring solos, duets, small groups and full ensemble numbers. Some performances may even include simple choreography—or a little tap dancing!

Most importantly, MisCast is about having fun, supporting one another and celebrating the incredible talent, individuality and personality within our community.

Rehearsals will take place on Wednesday evenings in Shrewsbury from mid-August.

SMTC Tap Classes in association with Footlights Dance School – Get Ready for Singin' in the Rain!

Dreaming of splashing your way through Singin' in the Rain in June 2027? Why not get a head start?

SMTC member and Footlights Dance School owner Michelle Handley is running a series of fun, relaxed Musical Theatre tap classes designed for performers of all abilities. Whether you're a complete beginner, dusting off your tap shoes, or looking to sharpen your skills, these sessions are the perfect way to build confidence and have fun.

Even better, you'll have the opportunity to learn some of the planned choreography for the show before auditions and rehearsals begin!

Expect plenty of laughs, great music, new friendships and lots of tapping!

(An extra 15 minutes is included to allow time to change into tap shoes and enjoy a chat beforehand!)

• All 7 classes: £45.50
• Individual classes: £7 each
