Centenary Celebration - A Century of Songs
2023 marks the Centenary Year of SMTC, formerly Shrewsbury Amateur Operatic Society.

One thing’s for certain… Shrewsbury Musical Theatre Company is, most definitely, part of the history of Shropshire’s County Town.
We’re planning a project that will celebrate a century of fun, laughter, song and dance and YOU could be part of the project!
We are looking for SMTC members, past and present, descendants of past members, audience members, etc. who would like to share their memories, memorabilia, passed-down stories, anything you feel might be of interest, so we can celebrate how far we’ve come, what the Company has meant to the community and what lovely things have come from being involved.
Whether you have some old photos or copies of programmes we could look at or if you’re willing to just chat to us with stories you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you! Please drop us a line: smtc-history@outlook.com
