Could it be you appearing in our next production? Perhaps you would like to try your hand at any of the many backstage roles – lighting, props, costumes, make-up, front of house, or perhaps you would like to give us a hand promoting SMTC. The key to the success of any amateur theatre company is its members. We pride ourselves in being a warm, welcoming, friendly group who welcome new faces, voices and ideas and are always delighted to talk to you, whether for an on-stage or behind the scenes role. We have an audition process for specific roles, but we tend not to hold auditions for those who would like to be on the ensemble of a production.

We’ve treated Theatre Severn audiences to a wide range of top musicals recently. We went fully disco and camp glamour with Priscilla Queen of the Desert in 2018. Jesus Christ Superstar was something completely different, we rocked Shrewsbury audiences with this Lloyd Webber classic in June 2019 and in 2022 after a 2-year wait we wowed our audiences with the family-friendly classic The Wizard of Oz followed by Ghost, The Musical, then Sunshine On Leith in the spring of 2023..

Our most recent major production was the epic School Of Rock in November 2023, where we raised the roof of Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn!

In the spring of 2024 we will be performing Beautiful – The Carole King Musical, another Shropshire premiere, an amazing opportunity for us......and you!
