Congratulations David!

One of our long serving members David Williams was last night honoured for his services to amateur theatre in Shropshire. David joined our company back in 2006 only missing one production since then and he's also served on our committee in the past.

He was presented with the NODA special award (given to only one person in the whole of Shrosphire each year) by area NODA rep Robin Cooper at our concert rehearsal yesterday, he advised the award was nominated on the basis of David's continued support of both SMTC, Pontesbury Players and many other local musical theatre groups for helping to spread the word about our productions.

David will often be seen travelling many miles all over Shrewsbury putting up posters in local businesses and handing out flyers to the public, not the most glamerous of tasks but one which is very much needed for community groups such as ours to be successful.

SMTC would like to congratulate David on his well desevered award and also to thank him for everything he does to support us, we are very lucky to have him as part of the group!
