At SMTC, our members are the heart of everything we do. As the longest-serving and largest non-profit musical theatre group in Shrewsbury, we are proud of our rich history and our commitment to bringing high-quality productions to our local stage.
Our new annual membership programme is designed to give you more opportunities to perform, grow your skills, and have a direct say in our future. By joining for a minimal annual fee, you aren’t just supporting the local arts; you’re unlocking a suite of exclusive benefits designed to make your experience on and off stage even better.
Membership Benefits
- Discounted Show Fees: Our members enjoy an exclusive reduced rate on performance fees for every production they are cast in and priority access to audition booking.
- Shape Our Future: When fast decisions are not required you can have your say in our Show Selection Voting. You help decide which shows we bring to the stage.
- Exclusive Savings: Access to Member-Only Ticket Discount Codes to share with your friends and family.
- Social & Community: Invitations to Members-Only Social Events, from theatre trips to cast parties, and access to our private Members’ Facebook Group. This will be your community!
- Digital Membership Card
Future Plans
This membership programme is in development. We do plan, where possible in the future, for our membership to provide:
- Discounts at local businesses.
- Member-only workshops.
- A dedicated member-only portal on our website.

The Small Print
Annual membership runs from 1st April to 31st March each year. Please note that there is no discount for joining part-way through the membership year.
Starting 2026 - Memberships run annually from April 1st to March 31st (there is no partial year discount)
Adult membership is £15 per annum and child members are just £5
